A harrowing video captures the moment a food vendor at a Seattle food festival scrambles to safety as gunfire breaks out, resulting in three fatalities and four injuries, including a 2-year-old child.
The shooting occurred Sunday night at the Bite of Seattle, a three-day annual event held at the Seattle Center, just a block from the Space Needle.

In the footage posted on X, the vendor is initially seen promoting his Hawaiian honeycomb treats. Suddenly, gunshots ring out, and terrified attendees dive for cover.
The vendor himself instructs his worker to grab the tips and cash register before they flee the scene.
Police reported that two people died at the scene: a 19-year-old and a 44-year-old.

Four others were taken to a local hospital, where a 56-year-old woman later succumbed to her injuries.
All surviving victims are in stable condition.
During a late Sunday press briefing, Seattle Police Assistant Chief Tyrone Davis stated that one suspect is in custody, while a second gunman remains at large.

Two firearms have been recovered.
Authorities believe two individuals were shooting at each other.
Davis did not disclose a motive but noted that the investigation is ongoing and there is no outstanding threat to the community.

Seattle Mayor Katie Wilson condemned the incident as "an act of horrific violence" and praised first responders for their swift actions.
