OnePlus has confirmed a key specification for its upcoming affordable smartphone, the N6x, ahead of its India launch on July 31.

The device will pack a 7,000mAh battery.

Earlier, the company only claimed the phone could last up to 2.5 days without revealing the exact capacity.

The 7,000mAh cell is 1,000mAh smaller than the 8,000mAh battery in the N6, but still competitive for endurance.

A promotional page on Amazon India provides estimated usage times on a full charge: about 20.56 hours of video playback, 133.56 hours of music playback, 25.04 hours of social media scrolling, and 11.26 hours of video recording.

Charging speed remains unconfirmed. The N6 supports 45W charging, so the N6x is expected to offer similar speeds.

Official details are pending.

Design Differences from the N6

The N6x features a pill-shaped camera island, a notable departure from the rounded-square module on the N6.

The front design also changes: an image on the Amazon microsite reveals a waterdrop notch for the selfie camera, unlike the hole-punch cutout on the N6.

These design changes give the two phones distinct identities, targeting different price segments without looking too similar. The bezels appear comparable between the models.

Color options for the N6x include light blue and burgundy.

The slightly smaller battery may allow for a thinner design or cost savings while still offering multi-day battery life.
