The rapper was detained earlier that morning when law enforcement executed a search warrant related to a murder investigation.
He was later released.
On stage, YG told The Game, "I almost didn't make it to this motherf***er," referencing his run-in with cops.
The Game said he saw the news on TMZ and worried the battle might have been canceled.
The search warrant was connected to the Drakeo the Ruler murder investigation. The property searched is linked to YG, who has denied any involvement in Drakeo's death.
Despite the morning's events, the VERZUZ battle went on as planned, and both rappers delivered a show for the crowd.
