Kaylee Hottle, the young actress known for her role in "Godzilla vs. Kong," has died in a car crash.
She was 18.

The accident occurred early Tuesday morning in Maryland. Hottle was a passenger in a 1995 Honda Accord.
According to authorities, the driver lost control and veered off the road, slamming into a roadside ditch. Excessive speed is believed to have been a factor.
Hottle was rushed to a trauma center but was pronounced dead on arrival.

Her father, Joshua Hottle, told officials that her heart stopped on the way to the hospital.
Two other people were in the vehicle at the time. The 19-year-old driver suffered injuries that are not considered life-threatening.

Another passenger declined medical treatment at the scene.
Hottle gained fame for her portrayal of Jia in the 2021 monster film "Godzilla vs. Kong" and its sequel.
Her death has shocked fans and the film community.
