Zhiyun has introduced the WEEBILL 5, a new camera gimbal designed to simplify shooting with AI features and ergonomic upgrades.
Priced at 2,299 yuan (approximately $330), the gimbal supports payloads up to 3kg, making it compatible with a wide range of mirrorless cameras and lenses from Sony, Canon, Nikon, and others.
AI-Powered Tracking and Stabilization
The WEEBILL 5 features a dedicated AI module that can recognize and lock onto subjects including people, pets, vehicles, and buildings.
It maintains tracking even if the subject briefly leaves the frame, with reliable performance up to about 10 meters away.
Real-time camera movement assistance helps automatically frame shots, reducing manual adjustments. The gimbal also includes a new third-generation stabilization algorithm for smoother footage.
Design and Usability Improvements
A built-in carrying handle enhances portability, while a double-layer quick-release plate eliminates the need for secondary leveling, speeding up setup.
Micro-adjustment knobs allow fine-tuning of balance.
Other features include a 1.8-inch color touchscreen, built-in fill light, native horizontal and vertical shooting modes, Bluetooth control for shutter and zoom, and support for external focus motors, monitors, and microphones.
The WEEBILL 5 builds on the lightweight, user-friendly design of its predecessors, addressing common issues like subject tracking and slow setup times.
It targets vloggers, hybrid shooters, and filmmakers seeking a portable yet capable stabilizer.
