DJI is working on a successor to its first 360-degree camera, the Osmo 360. A new leak from TheNewCamera shows an engineering prototype of the Osmo 360 II.
The design remains similar to the original, with the same square body and lens layout.
The camera is listed under model number OQ002 and has appeared in FCC filings.
According to the filings, the battery capacity has been increased from 1,950mAh to 2,150mAh.
This upgrade should provide longer recording time before needing a recharge or battery swap.
The Osmo 360 II is also expected to include NFC support.
This feature would allow users to pair the camera with their phone and transfer files by tapping the devices together, a capability not common in most panoramic cameras.
Background and Launch Timeline
DJI launched the original Osmo 360 in July 2025. It featured a 1-inch square sensor, native 8K/50fps panoramic video, and panoramic photos up to 120MP.
The sequel builds on that solid foundation.
