Xiaomi appears to be preparing a refresh for its budget smartphone lineup. A new leak from YtechB has provided an early look at the upcoming REDMI 17 4G.
Design and Display
The camera island is noticeably wider than on the REDMI 15 4G and now includes a light ring instead of one of the camera cutouts.

The predecessor had only two rear cameras, so this is not a downgrade.
The phone will be available in Deep Blue, Black, Oak Green, and possibly Lotus Purple.
It measures 170.12 x 78.42 x 8.8 mm and weighs around 232 grams.

On the front, there is a 6.9-inch LCD with HD+ resolution (1600 x 720) and a 120Hz refresh rate.
Performance and Camera
Under the hood, the REDMI 17 4G is expected to run on MediaTek's Helio G91 Ultra processor, paired with HyperOS 3.0 based on Android 16.
The Helio G91 and G91 Ultra are functionally the same, with minor tweaks like upgraded ISP support.
Memory options include 4GB or 6GB of RAM with 128GB or 256GB of storage.

The rear camera setup features a 50MP main sensor plus an auxiliary sensor, while the front has an 8MP selfie camera.
Battery and Pricing
The standout feature is the battery: a massive 7,500mAh cell with 45W fast charging, up from 7,000mAh and 33W on the predecessor.
Pricing leaks suggest a starting price of around €250 for the 4GB + 128GB version, with the 256GB model expected near €280.
