The Medical Examiner's report has disclosed gruesome details about the death of James Handy, the actor known for his role in "Top Gun: Maverick."
According to the report, Handy and his girlfriend's son, Michael Gledhill, engaged in a verbal altercation on June 4 outside the front porch of the girlfriend's home.

The argument escalated into a physical confrontation.
Gledhill reportedly mounted Handy and dragged him to the side of the house before retrieving what appeared to be a knife.

He then returned and stabbed Handy to death.
While Handy lay on the ground with a fatal stab wound to his torso, Gledhill allegedly called 911 and said, "I am the son of man, I just killed the man of sin."

Police arrived at the scene to find Gledhill flagging them down and confessing to the crime. Handy was rushed to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Gledhill was arrested shortly after the incident and is being held at Van Nuys Jail on one count of murder, with bail set at $2 million.

Investigators have not yet released a motive for the killing.
