An Idaho mother accused of murdering her twin toddlers and blaming their deaths on vaccines had an unexpected supporter at her bond hearing: a registered nurse.
Andrea Shaw faces two counts of first-degree murder for allegedly suffocating her 18-month-old twins in May 2025.
She reportedly claimed the children died from adverse reactions to routine vaccinations.
At the hearing on Wednesday, Shaw's attorney argued to reduce her bond from $2 million to $100,000.
However, the judge revoked her bond entirely, stating she is a danger to her newborn child.
Registered nurse Angela Wulbrecht testified that she became interested in the case after hearing about the deaths and offered support to the Shaw family.
Wulbrecht said she got to know Shaw well and observed only grief over her children.
According to court documents, Wulbrecht noted that Shaw became pregnant again after the deaths and was terrified of routine tests, focusing solely on the health of her unborn baby.
Shaw gave birth a few days before her arrest on July 7.
Despite the nurse's testimony and the defense's arguments, the judge denied bond. Shaw is due back in court on August 18 to enter a plea.
