Redmi has officially revealed key details about the upcoming Redmi Note 17 ahead of its launch in China on July 14.
Company executives confirmed major upgrades for the standard model, including display, battery, and a new color option.

Largest OLED Display on a Redmi Phone
The Redmi Note 17 will feature a 7-inch OLED display, the largest ever on a Redmi smartphone.
The panel supports a 120Hz refresh rate and reaches up to 1200 nits of global brightness.
It also includes Xiaomi's eye protection technology for comfortable viewing. Compared to the Redmi Note 15's 6.77-inch screen, the new model offers a noticeable size increase.

Meteor Purple Color and Design
Redmi unveiled the Meteor Purple color variant, featuring a distinctive streak-inspired finish on the rear panel.
Official images suggest the standard Note 17 retains a flat design with a plastic frame.
The rear camera module has a layout similar to the Pro model but with a different camera arrangement.

8000mAh Battery and Durability
Another major highlight is the 8000mAh battery, uncommon in this price segment. Redmi positions the device as a long-lasting smartphone for heavy daily use.
Charging specifications for the standard model have not been revealed yet. Redmi also highlighted durability improvements, promising better drop resistance and water protection across the Note 17 series.
The series will debut on July 14 at 7 pm in China.
