Timex has announced the Deepwater Meridian 300 Titanium HEV Automatic, a new mechanical dive watch that marks a shift from its typical budget quartz models toward a dedicated tool watch.

The watch features a 44mm case made from Grade 5 titanium, which keeps weight low while maintaining surface hardness.

It measures 15mm thick with a 51mm lug-to-lug distance.

The case has a matte, bead-blasted finish and includes a ceramic inlay on the unidirectional rotating bezel for tracking elapsed time.

A sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating protects the dial.

Water resistance is rated to 300 meters, supported by a screw-down crown, integrated crown guards, and a threaded screw-down case back.

An automatic helium escape valve (HEV) at the 10 o'clock position allows gas to vent during saturation diving.

Inside, the Miyota 8215 automatic movement powers the watch. This 21-jewel Japanese caliber winds via wrist motion and offers a 40-hour power reserve.

It can also be manually wound.

Two dial variations are available: a black dial with luminescent hour markers, and a green dial coated entirely with Japanese Nemoto LumiNova SG2200 for enhanced low-light visibility.

Both models come on a 20mm black HNBR strap, which resists UV, heat, and chemicals.

The strap has perforations for ventilation and drainage, plus quick-release spring bars for easy swapping.
