Lenovo has updated its ThinkPad E14 and E16 laptops for 2026, adding Intel Core Ultra processors and higher refresh rate displays.
The new models target the affordable business segment with several configuration options, including Core Ultra 9 chips paired with 32GB RAM and 1TB SSD storage.

Display and Design Upgrades
The ThinkPad E14 features a 14-inch 2.8K display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 500 nits brightness, full sRGB coverage, anti-glare coating, and low blue light certification.
The larger E16 offers a 16-inch 2.5K 120Hz panel with 400 nits brightness.
Both laptops support PCIe 4.0 SSDs and include dual M. 2 slots for storage expansion.

The battery capacity is 64Wh, with Lenovo estimating around 13 hours of usage.
The E14 measures 15.25mm thick and weighs about 1.34kg, while the E16 comes in at 1.63kg.
Connectivity and Keyboard
Lenovo retains the classic ThinkPad keyboard and TrackPoint. Connectivity includes Thunderbolt 4, USB-A ports, HDMI 2.1, Ethernet, and a headphone jack.
These updates focus on display quality, battery life, thermals, and practical connectivity rather than a complete redesign.

Pricing and Availability
The ThinkPad E14 and E16 are available for pre-order in China ahead of a May 27 release.
Pricing for the E16 with Ultra 9 185H, 32GB RAM, and 1TB SSD is 8,999 yuan (about €1,140).
The E14 with the same configuration costs 7,999 yuan (€1,014).

Other E14 variants include Ultra 5 336H at 9,499 yuan and Ultra 7 356H at 11,999 yuan.
