Charles Barkley revealed he turned down an invitation to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's star-studded wedding at Madison Square Garden — but it wasn't out of dislike.
The former NBA star said he loves the couple but decided to skip the event because it would have been too overwhelming for him.

Barkley made the comments Tuesday on the podcast “Unfiltered with Ricky Bo and Bill Colarulo,” explaining that he doesn't attend weddings or funerals.
The topic came up after co-host Bill Colarulo noted that Barkley's name wasn't mentioned in reports about the guest list.

Barkley said he received an invite but politely declined, describing the wedding as a potential “crap show.”
He added that he loves Travis and his brother, Jason Kelce, and has only met Taylor once.
“All I want to do these days is play golf and not have to dress up for formal events,” Barkley said.

“I appreciate the invitation; it was pretty special.”
Swift and Kelce tied the knot over the July 4 weekend in a two-day celebration at MSG in Manhattan.

The guest list included A-listers such as Jennifer Lopez, Tom Cruise, Tom Hanks, Stevie Nicks, Paul McCartney, Tim McGraw, MGK, Dakota Johnson, Karlie Kloss, Ed Sheeran, Camila Cabello, Kelsea Ballerini, Miranda Lambert, Jack Antonoff, and wedding officiant Adam Sandler.
