The REDMI Note 17 series is scheduled to launch on July 14 in China.

Ahead of the launch, a model believed to be the base variant has appeared on Geekbench.

The listing, identified as Xiaomi 2607DRA18C, reveals a chipset with a 4+4 core architecture clocked at 1.8GHz and 2.4GHz.

These clock speeds match the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4, not the Dimensity 7500 or Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 as previously speculated.

The Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 is a 4nm mid-range processor.

It represents a modest upgrade over the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 used in last year's REDMI Note 15.

In Geekbench testing, the device scored 1,027 points in single-core and 3,002 points in multi-core tests.

These scores are very similar to the predecessor, suggesting no major performance leap.

Xiaomi has already revealed the design of the Note 17 series.

The camera island has shifted to a rounded square shape on the left side of the back panel.

The base model appears to have a single camera cutout with a flash, while the Pro model features two cutouts.

The base model also abandons the curved design of the Note 15, adopting a flat look similar to the Pro.

Official renders show multiple lens openings inside the larger cutouts, but the base model may include a low-resolution auxiliary lens instead of an ultrawide sensor.
