Max Holloway isn't buying into the idea of ring rust for Conor McGregor.

Despite McGregor not fighting in over five years, Holloway told TMZ Sports he's preparing for a 'dangerous' version of the Irish star at UFC 329 on Saturday.

The two first met in the Octagon back in 2013, with McGregor winning by unanimous decision.

Holloway thought a rematch would have happened much sooner, and he didn't expect it to come after such a long layoff for McGregor.

Holloway said he's happy to be the one welcoming McGregor back, but the pleasantries end there. 'I can't wait to punch the guy in the face,' he added.

The Hawaiian admitted that five years off might actually bring out the best version of McGregor, but he's confident he'll have his hand raised 'in devastating fashion' this time around.

A fight with McGregor also comes with a significant payday, but Holloway is looking for bonus money too, promising fireworks on Saturday.

Holloway also shared his plans after the McGregor fight and had a final message for his opponent.
