Conor McGregor is making it clear he has no plans to slow down after undergoing knee surgery.
The former UFC double champion took to social media on Friday with a video update that has fans buzzing.
In the clip, McGregor is shirtless and lounging near a beach, looking directly into the camera. He delivers the news many have been waiting for: "Surgery done.
Knee repaired. The doubters can keep talking."
The 38-year-old Irishman added, "Now the real work begins. Comeback season starts now.
No shortcuts. No excuses.
Just the will to rise again."
McGregor tore his ACL and meniscus in his right knee just seconds into his comeback fight against Max Holloway at UFC 329 earlier this month.
The bout was stopped after only 69 seconds.
This isn't the first time McGregor has suffered a serious ligament tear—he also faced one against Holloway in his 20s.
Now in his late 30s, he remains undeterred.
Drawing Inspiration from Other Athletes
McGregor pointed to other athletes who have successfully returned from serious injuries, including Tom Brady, Georges St-Pierre, and Dominick Cruz.
He emphasized his mindset: "My mindset is unstoppable, unbreakable."
With his recovery underway, the MMA superstar is determined to make his comeback a successful one. As he put it, "It's comeback season for the Mac!"
