Casio is expanding its Pro Trek lineup with three new analog watches that break away from the brand's typical digital, sensor-heavy designs.
The PRJ-01 series launches in Japan this July, offering a compact three-hand layout with outdoor-friendly features.

Design and Key Features
The two higher-tier models, PRJ-01AE-8JR (grey) and PRJ-01AE-7JR (white), include a carabiner attachment that can replace the standard urethane band.
The swap requires no special tools, allowing users to clip the watch to a backpack strap, belt loop, or gear.
The watch case measures 39.1mm wide and 11.6mm thick, with a total weight of just 32 grams.
Casio uses bio-based resin for the case, case back, and standard strap.

The strap features a tuck-under design that routes the tail end against the wrist to prevent snagging on sleeves or equipment.
Instead of a screw-down crown, the PRJ-01 uses a rotating guard bezel. In its default position, the bezel covers the crown to prevent accidental adjustments.
Turning it 45 degrees exposes the crown for time and date setting.

The dial is fully phosphorescent, glowing in low light for readability, and light-transmissive to support the built-in solar charging system.
Casio claims the watch can run for about five months on a full charge without further light exposure.
It also offers 100 meters of water resistance and a mineral glass crystal.
Pricing and Availability
The carabiner-equipped PRJ-01AE-8JR and PRJ-01AE-7JR are priced at ¥31,350 (around $192), while the base PRJ-01-1JF (black) model costs ¥25,300 (around $156).
