Minisforum has introduced the Elite Mini M2 Air-304, a compact desktop PC designed for quiet operation and robust networking.
The system is now available for preorder, with the barebones model priced at $263 and shipments expected in early September.

The M2 Air-304 is powered by Intel's Core 3 304 processor from the Wildcat Lake lineup, featuring five cores and five threads with a turbo frequency of up to 4.3GHz.
This mini PC is not aimed at heavy gaming or intensive video editing; instead, it targets standard office work, retail point-of-sale systems, and home media setups.
Inside its 0.47-liter case, measuring 112 x 112 x 37.15mm, the system supports up to 64GB of DDR5 memory.
While the motherboard can handle memory speeds up to 6400 MT/s, pre-configured models ship with 5600 MT/s RAM.

For storage, there is a single M. 2 2280 PCIe 4.0 NVMe slot and a TF card slot for additional expansion.
Networking is a highlight, with two 2.5GbE LAN ports using Intel I226-V controllers, making it suitable for soft routers, network segmentation, and lightweight network nodes.
It also supports Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.4.
Connectivity options include two USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 ports and a 3.5mm audio jack on the front.
The back panel offers a USB4 port with 40Gbps data transfer and power delivery, a 10Gbps USB-C port, a USB 2.0 port, and two HDMI 2.0 outputs.

In 15W Silent Mode, noise is about 28.1dB under full load, while 28W Balanced Mode increases to 32.7dB with CPU temperatures between 72 and 80 degrees Celsius.
