Xiaomi has launched the Redmi K90 Ultra in China, a flagship smartphone that sets itself apart with a built-in active cooling fan and top-tier specs.
Display and Performance
The device sports a 6.83-inch flat AMOLED screen with 1.5K resolution (2772×1280) and a 165Hz refresh rate.

Xiaomi uses M10 display material, claiming a peak brightness of 3,500 nits.
Touch input benefits from a 480Hz multi-finger reporting rate and a 3,500Hz instant touch sampling rate for reduced latency.
Under the hood, the Snapdragon 8 Elite 3nm chip powers the phone, paired with up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB UFS 4.1 storage.
A secondary D2 display chip handles AI upscaling and frame interpolation for gaming.

To manage heat, Xiaomi integrated an active air-cooling system with an 18.1mm fan operating at 32dB, alongside a 6,000mm² vapor chamber.
The device runs HyperOS 3.
Camera and Battery
The rear camera setup includes a 50MP Light Hunter 800 sensor (1/1.55-inch, f/1.68, OIS) and an 8MP ultra-wide lens, capable of 8K video at 30fps.
The front houses a 20MP camera for selfies and 1080p video.
A large 8,550mAh battery supports 100W wired fast charging, 22.5W wired reverse charging, and bypass charging.
Durability and Additional Features
The handset carries IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance, while the cooling fan module is independently rated IPX8 and IPX9.
Other features include dual stereo speakers tuned by Bose, a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, X-axis linear motor, Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth 5.4.

The Redmi K90 Ultra is available in China in Shadow Black, Space Silver, and Sky Blue. Pricing starts at 2,799 yuan ($420) for the 12GB+256GB model.
The 16GB+256GB variant is also priced at 2,799 yuan ($420) as an introductory offer.
