Dianna Russini is facing backlash again, but this time it's not about an NFL coach scandal.
Newly released bodycam video shows the former Athletic reporter lying to a police officer to avoid a traffic ticket.

The footage, posted Monday on X by Adam Herbets of Center Square, captures Russini being pulled over in New Jersey in January for using her phone while driving.
In the clip, the officer asks for her license and registration.
Russini introduces herself as an NFL journalist who just broke the news about Buffalo Bills coach Sean McDermott being fired.
She claims she was sending a tweet about it before the stop.

After handing over her documents, she asks the officer if he's a Giants or Jets fan. The cop says he's a Vikings fan.
Russini then shows him a text exchange between her and Vikings coach Kevin O'Connell on her phone. The officer lets her off without a ticket.
But the bodycam video contradicts a story Russini told in February on the radio show "Stugotz and Company."
She claimed she FaceTimed with O'Connell during the traffic stop. The footage shows no FaceTime call occurred.
This lie was repeated in a New York Times article about Russini published just last week, according to the report.

Russini's latest controversy follows a scandal in April, when photos emerged of her hugging and holding hands with New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel at a Sedona resort.
The New York Post also published pictures of the pair kissing at a New York City bar in 2020.
Both are married to other people.
Russini denied having an affair with Vrabel but resigned from The Athletic amid the media frenzy.

Vrabel said he would take accountability for the distraction and is working on his marriage.
