Oppo's upcoming Find X10 series may see a change in plans.

According to tipster Digital Chat Station, the company could delay or even cancel the Find X10 Pro Max model.

Initially, the lineup was expected to include the Find X10, X10 Pro, and X10 Pro Max. The new report suggests Oppo is reconsidering the highest-end variant.

Find X10 Ultra camera details emerge

The same tipster revealed that the engineering sample of the Find X10 Ultra is currently being tested with a 3x periscope camera.

Oppo is reportedly comparing two sensor options for this camera: a 200-megapixel 1/1.2-inch sensor and a 200-megapixel 1/1.28-inch sensor.

On paper, the 1/1.2-inch sensor should be the better choice. A larger sensor typically captures more light, which can improve background separation and overall image quality.

However, the 1/1.28-inch sensor is still very large, so the final result may depend on Oppo's tuning, lens quality, and image processing.

The tipster previously said Oppo is testing a 200-megapixel 1/1.12-inch main camera sensor with LOFIC support.

It was expected to feature a 200MP main camera with a 1/1.3-inch sensor, a 200MP periscope telephoto camera using a 1/1.28-inch sensor, and ultra-wide options ranging from a 200MP sensor (1/1.56-inch) to a smaller 50MP unit.

Display testing was reportedly ongoing with two variants: a 6.89-inch 2K LTPO flat display and a slightly smaller 6.78-inch 1.5K LTPO panel.

The series is expected to run on next-generation MediaTek chips, including a rumored Dimensity 9600 Pro built on a 2nm process.
