Google has released the stable Android 17 update for Pixel devices, and Samsung is expected to begin rolling out its One UI 9.0 version as early as next month.

However, many Galaxy smartphones and tablets will not be eligible for this major upgrade.

Devices that have already received all promised OS updates at launch will miss out.

The list includes several high-end models like the Galaxy S22 series, Galaxy S21 FE, Galaxy Z Fold 4, and Galaxy Z Flip 4, as well as numerous mid-range A-series, M-series, and F-series phones.

  • Galaxy S22
  • Galaxy S22+
  • Galaxy S22 Ultra
  • Galaxy S21 FE
  • Galaxy Z Fold 4
  • Galaxy Z Flip 4
  • Galaxy Tab S8
  • Galaxy Tab S8+
  • Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra

Mid-range Galaxy devices not eligible

  • Galaxy A73 5G
  • Galaxy A53 5G
  • Galaxy A33 5G
  • Galaxy A14 (4G/5G)
  • Galaxy A06 4G
  • Galaxy A05
  • Galaxy A05s
  • Galaxy M53 5G
  • Galaxy M33 5G
  • Galaxy M14
  • Galaxy M05
  • Galaxy F53 5G
  • Galaxy F33 5G
  • Galaxy F14
  • Galaxy F05
  • Galaxy XCover 6 Pro

This list only includes devices that received One UI 8.0 but will not get One UI 9.0.

Older models like the Galaxy S21 are not listed because they stopped receiving major updates earlier.

If your device is on the list, it will likely not get Android 17.

It may still receive security patches for some time, but upgrading to a newer model is recommended to access the latest features.
