Timex has introduced a new mechanical watch in the US market, the Expedition Field Post Titanium Automatic, now available on the Timex US website for $429.
The watch features a 41mm titanium case with a black IP coating, offering a lighter alternative to stainless steel for enhanced comfort during daily wear.
With a thickness of 13.5mm and a lug-to-lug distance of 50mm, the watch includes a screw-down crown and threaded case back, ensuring a water resistance rating of 200 meters.
This makes it suitable for swimming, snorkeling, and recreational diving, as long as the crown is not adjusted while submerged.
Design and Durability
The front is protected by a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating, while the black dial features a textured finish and full Arabic numerals.
A date window sits at the 3 o'clock position, and Super-LumiNova pigment on the hands and markers ensures visibility in low light.
Inside, the watch is powered by a 21-jewel automatic movement that winds with wrist motion, offering a 40-hour power reserve.
An exhibition window on the case back reveals the internal mechanics, and the watch comes with a 20mm brown leather strap featuring quick-release spring bars for easy swapping.
