Damon Dash is not impressed by Jay-Z's recent Yankee Stadium concerts.

The Roc-A-Fella co-founder criticized the three-night event as a marketing campaign rather than a musical celebration.

Speaking on "The Art of Dialogue," Dash analyzed the shows from a business perspective.

He argued that the heavy presence of Yankees logos, jerseys, and merchandise made the event feel like an advertisement.

Dash questioned the authenticity of the crowd shots and promotional activations.

He suggested that some attendees might have been paid as part of a marketing budget, though he admitted he had no evidence of that.

The cinematic intro featuring Beyoncé shaving Jay-Z's head also drew Dash's criticism.

He called it forced and fake-looking, saying it tried too hard to spotlight the couple's relationship.

Dash joked he would never let his own girlfriend cut his hair, insisting the whole scene felt "contrived."

From Dash's viewpoint, the shows were selling more than just tickets.

He said the heavy branding overshadowed the music, adding that he would rather see something fresh than an overly polished nostalgia play.

Dash and Jay-Z have a history of tension since their falling out as co-founders of Roc-A-Fella Records.
