Redmi's upcoming K100 series might see a shift in launch order, with the Pro Max model potentially arriving ahead of the standard version, according to a tipster.

Previous rumors suggested the standard Redmi K100 would debut first, but new certification listings and claims from tipster Digital Chat Station indicate a possible change in strategy.

Revised launch schedule

Digital Chat Station stated that Redmi has altered the K100 series launch schedule.

The Pro series is expected to be introduced first, while the standard K100 could come later.

The tipster noted that the standard model has not yet appeared in required certification databases, hinting at a delayed release.

Expected specifications

The K100 series is likely to continue the previous generation's approach, offering a smaller flagship model and a larger Pro Max variant.

The Redmi K100 is rumored to feature a 6.59-inch display, while the K100 Pro Max could sport a 6.9-inch panel with up to a 185Hz refresh rate.

Both models are expected to be powered by a Snapdragon 8-series chipset, include batteries up to 9,000mAh, and run Xiaomi's next-generation HyperOS out of the box.

Certification sightings

Two Redmi smartphones have appeared on China's 3C certification database. One device, model number M098FF, supports up to 100W charging with the MDY-18-EW adapter.

The second, model M511CD, also supports 100W charging with the same adapter.

Both phones have reportedly received approval from China's MIIT authority. One of these could be the Redmi K100 Pro Max, though their exact identities remain unclear.

The Pro Max variant is also expected to feature a symmetrical dual speaker setup for improved audio during gaming and entertainment.
