Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding day has arrived, and Madison Square Garden has been transformed into a heavily guarded private venue.
Photos show the area surrounded by police and security measures late into the night.
The intense security is no surprise given the massive star power at Thursday's rehearsal dinner and the even larger guest list expected for Friday's wedding.
TMZ reported that more than 70 detectives from precincts across New York City are assigned to the events, working 8.5-hour shifts at $80 to $90 per hour.
That amounts to at least $95,200.
Additionally, over 50 police officers, mostly rookies earning $70 per hour for nine-hour shifts, are also stationed at MSG, adding another $63,000.
Some NYPD higher-ups are also working the event, pushing the total security salary figure over $160,000.
When the biggest stars on the planet gather, extra precautions are necessary.
