According to the leak, engineering prototypes are being tested with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 (SM8850) and a custom variant (SM8850Q).

The devices are expected to sport a 6.78-inch 1.5K flat display with a 185Hz refresh rate.
A massive battery around 9,000mAh is tipped, along with 100W or 120W fast charging.
Active fan cooling and a minimalist design are also mentioned. These details align with a previous leak from May, though the SM8850Q chip was not mentioned earlier.

Pro variant and lineup details
The tipster claims the Pro model may include a 50-megapixel 3.5x periscope telephoto camera based on Samsung's JN5 sensor, though this is not finalized.
The previous Ace 6 series included three models: Ace 6 (Snapdragon 8 Elite), Ace 6T (Snapdragon 8 Gen 5), and Ace 6 Ultra (Dimensity 9500).

Last month, the same source revealed details about another Ace-series phone expected to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 6.
That device could launch as the OnePlus Ace 7T in China, with a global variant possibly branded as the OnePlus 16R.
