Chuwi has opened pre-orders for the UniBook, a 14-inch budget laptop that is among the first devices to use Intel's new Wildcat Lake architecture.
The pre-order price is set at $449, with a standard retail price of $619 expected later.

Specifications and Performance
The laptop is powered by the Intel Core 3 304, a Series 3 processor built on Intel's 18A process.
It features five cores, five threads, and a 15W TDP.
The chip includes a dedicated NPU capable of 15 TOPS and integrated Intel Graphics adding another 9 TOPS.
However, the combined total does not meet Microsoft's 40 TOPS requirement for Copilot Plus PCs.

To keep costs low, Chuwi made compromises on memory and storage. The UniBook comes with 8GB of LPDDR5-6400 RAM and a 256GB PCIe 3.0 SSD.
The RAM is soldered and not upgradeable, which may limit multitasking on Windows 11. The storage, however, can be upgraded via the internal M.
2 slot, supporting faster PCIe 4.0 SSDs.
The display is a 14-inch 1920 x 1200 IPS panel with a 16:10 aspect ratio, offering more vertical space for documents and web browsing.

It covers 100% of the sRGB color gamut, with a peak brightness of 300 nits and a standard 60Hz refresh rate.
The laptop is housed in an aluminum chassis weighing 1.2 kg (2.6 lbs) and measuring 16.4 mm thick.
Connectivity and Battery
For ports, the UniBook includes two full-featured USB-C ports with 65W Power Delivery and 4K display output, two USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 ports, one USB-A 2.0 port, an HDMI 1.4b output, a Gigabit Ethernet port, a microSD card slot, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
It supports Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2. The device is powered by a 53.38Wh battery.

The $449 pre-order pricing is available until July 2, 2026, with shipping expected to begin on July 20th.
