Oppo has officially confirmed the India launch date for its Reno 16 series. The lineup, which includes the Reno 16 and Reno 16c, will debut on July 2.

The series emphasizes AI-powered photography and content creation. Oppo also introduced a new smart accessory called Oppo Bubble alongside several AI editing tools.

Camera Specifications

The Oppo Reno 16 features a 50-megapixel main camera, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide selfie camera with a 100-degree field of view, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 50-megapixel 3.5x telephoto portrait camera.

The telephoto lens offers an 85mm equivalent focal length for natural-looking portraits with improved subject separation.

Both the Reno 16 and Reno 16c support 4K 60fps HDR video recording across the ultra-wide, main, and telephoto cameras.

The phones introduce Natural Tone Imaging to preserve accurate skin tones under different lighting conditions.

Other video features include 4K Auto Straighten recording and Zoom Free Video for smoother zoom transitions.

AI Camera Features

The Reno 16 series introduces AI Remix Collage, which lets users combine photos, Live Photos, and videos into a single collage without third-party apps.

Additional software features include Pop Cam with nine camera styles, Popout 2.0 for enhanced cut-out animations, and Dual-View Video 2.0 for simultaneous front and rear camera recording.

Oppo Bubble Accessory

Oppo also unveiled the Oppo Bubble, its first smart camera companion.

Weighing 27.5 grams, it magnetically attaches to the Reno 16 series and features a 1.73-inch AMOLED display that mirrors the rear camera preview.

The Bubble works as a Bluetooth remote with a range of up to 10 meters.

It packs a 550mAh battery, carries an IP54 rating, and supports custom pets, photos, live images, and short videos for personalization.

More details, including pricing and availability, are expected at the launch event on July 2.
