Bill Gates revealed that Jeffrey Epstein tried to blackmail him over his affairs with Russian women, according to newly released testimony before the House Oversight Committee.
The Microsoft co-founder denied ever having sex with underage girls or visiting Epstein's private island, often referred to as "pedophile island."

In the testimony, the word "blackmail" appears 22 times. Gates said Epstein contemplated using the affairs to pressure him into rekindling their relationship after it soured.
Gates described their interactions as strictly business.
He said he never socialized with Epstein, discussed sex with him, or witnessed Epstein engage in any sexual contact.

He acknowledged that young women were sometimes present during their meetings but stated he did not believe they were underage.
Gates flatly denied having sex with anyone Epstein introduced him to or being offered a young woman or girl.

Epstein was notorious for receiving massages from underage girls, but Gates said he never received one. He also denied ever contracting a sexually transmitted disease.
Gates said he was unaware Epstein was a registered sex offender when they first met.
He ended their association in 2014, after which Epstein discovered the affairs and attempted blackmail to force Gates back into contact.

The testimony also noted that during business meetings with Epstein, Gates was often asked to pose for photos with Epstein's female administrative staff at the end.
