Jeff Metcalf, the father of slain Texas teen Austin Metcalf, is publicly calling out TV personalities he says are profiting from his son's death.
In a recent interview with Fox News host Will Cain, Metcalf targeted commentators who have weighed in on the Karmelo Anthony case since Anthony's murder conviction.

He specifically criticized "The View" cohost Sunny Hostin, claiming she lacks understanding of the facts despite sharing her opinion with millions.
Metcalf accused such figures of chasing "their 15 minutes of fame" and trying to "monetize the death of my son."

Austin Metcalf was killed in April 2025 during a confrontation at a Texas high school track meet. Karmelo Anthony was convicted and sentenced to 35 years in prison.
Metcalf offered to appear on "The View" to debate Hostin directly, saying he would fly to New York to discuss the case.

Since the conviction, Metcalf has become a vocal public figure, defending the jury's verdict and describing the trauma his family endures.
Meanwhile, Anthony's legal team announced Monday it will review the trial record and explore avenues to challenge the conviction.
