Gabriel Hostin, son of 'The View' co-host Sunny Hostin, has had his trespassing case dismissed after completing a diversion program in New York.
The citation against Gabriel was dismissed following his completion of the Fresh Start program, a pre-arraignment diversion initiative for eligible first-time, low-level offenders.
The program required a three-hour educational course, which Gabriel successfully completed on Aug. 20.
Gabriel was cited on June 16 after an incident with police involving alleged trespassing on the right-of-way of active railroad tracks.
He was not arrested.
Sunny Hostin wrote a letter to the district attorney requesting the case be dropped, describing her son as a 2025 Harvard graduate with no criminal history.
She explained Gabriel was jogging and noticed a gravel incline for hill training, but did not see a 'No Trespassing' sign.
Body cam footage showed the encounter, including officers cuffing Gabriel before Sunny arrived. The footage also captured Sunny noting Gabriel's Harvard graduation.
Prosecutors said they repeatedly offered Gabriel the Fresh Start program. After initially insisting on immediate dismissal, he accepted and completed the course.
