Hisense has introduced the Xplorer X1 Pro laser TV series in China, offering large-screen home theater options with simplified installation.

The lineup includes 100-inch and 120-inch models, priced at 34,999 yuan ($5,145) and 49,999 yuan ($7,351) respectively.

Display and Light Engine

The Xplorer X1 Pro uses Hisense's CineCore light engine, which combines an RGB triple-color laser with DLP digital projection technology.

Hisense claims this design improves light transmission efficiency by 12% compared to earlier hardware.

The projector delivers native 4K resolution and covers 110% of the BT. 2020 color space, with a Delta E color accuracy of 0.6.

It also supports IMAX Enhanced and Filmmaker Mode.

To maintain contrast in bright rooms, Hisense includes a custom nano-spectral selective screen that absorbs ambient light while reflecting the projector's RGB wavelengths.

The screen panel is 3cm thick and foldable for easier transport and installation.

When paired with the projector, the system achieves up to 600 nits of sustained full-screen brightness.

Audio System

The TV features a built-in 6.1.2-channel distributed surround sound system tuned by Harman Kardon.

It includes nine speakers with a combined 120W of power, plus a dedicated wireless subwoofer that reaches down to 33Hz.

Screen-emitting audio technology vibrates the display surface to produce sound, aiming to align dialogue with on-screen action.

The system supports Dolby Atmos and DTS:X decoding.

Hardware and Connectivity

Internally, the projector is powered by a MediaTek MT9649 processor, 4GB of RAM, and 128GB of storage.

Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, and three HDMI 2.1 ports.

However, video output is capped at 4K at 60Hz, meaning it does not support 120Hz refresh rates for current-generation gaming consoles.

The main projector unit has a brown and gold exterior and sits on a concealed gimbal for adjustable projection angles.

The Xplorer X1 Pro series follows last year's Xplorer X1 Ultra release.
