Casio has released the G-Shock G-Lide GBX-H5600 series in the US, bringing fitness tracking and surf-specific tools to its iconic square watch design.
The two new models, the black GBX-H5600-1 and blue GBX-H5600-2, are now available for $330 each.

Both watches feature a translucent bezel and a band made from bio-based resin.
Weighing just 47 grams, they are about 12 grams lighter than the older DW-H5600 models, thanks to a new case back made of carbon fiber-reinforced resin.
The display uses a high-resolution Memory-in-Pixel (MIP) LCD, which remains readable in direct sunlight — a key feature for outdoor and beach use.

Internally, the GBX-H5600 includes an optical heart rate monitor, blood oxygen level estimation, and a three-axis accelerometer for tracking steps, distance, and pace.
It supports multi-sport tracking, sleep analysis, and cardio load measurements.
As part of the surf-focused G-Lide series, the watch offers tide graphs, moon phase data, and sunrise/sunset times.

Via Bluetooth, it connects to a smartphone app to load tide patterns from a database of about 3,300 global surf spots.
The watch also mirrors smartphone notifications for calls, emails, and social media, and includes a phone finder feature along with automatic time adjustment.
Power comes from a hybrid system of USB and solar-assisted charging. With continuous heart rate monitoring, the battery lasts up to 35 hours.

Without heart rate tracking, a single charge lasts about a month, and power-saving mode extends standby to roughly 11 months.
