Vivo has confirmed key details about its upcoming foldable smartphone, the X Fold 6, through a new demonstration video.
The company is highlighting battery life, durability, and connectivity as major selling points.

Massive Battery and Advanced Technology
The Vivo X Fold 6 will feature a 7,000mAh Blue Ocean battery across all variants, according to Vivo Product Manager Han Boxiao.
It is claimed to be the industry's first smartphone with fifth-generation silicon-anode battery technology, combined with Vivo's third-generation semi-solid-state battery technology.
The optimized Blue Ocean system delivers up to 9.8 hours of heavy-load endurance in Atomic Workbench scenarios, representing a 30% improvement in battery life.
The device reportedly continues operating at temperatures as low as minus 20 degrees Celsius.
Durability and Water Resistance
The X Fold 6 carries IPX8 and IPX9 ratings, allowing it to withstand powerful water pressure. A demonstration showed the foldable being used underwater.

Vivo has also equipped it with a lightweight hinge designed for stable folding and unfolding over extended use.
Connectivity Upgrades
Connectivity is another focus area.
The X Fold 6 features Vivo's upgraded Global Signal Amplification System 3.0, supported by a proprietary 1+4 communication chipset architecture.
This includes one dedicated signal amplification chip and four Wi-Fi enhancement chips to improve reception in challenging environments.

Vivo demonstrated a voice call during a skydive from 4,000 meters, highlighting the phone's ability to maintain optimal network connections.
The system is designed for reliable connectivity in high-speed trains, lifts, highways, and other difficult coverage areas.
Display, Chipset, and Cameras
Previously confirmed specs include an 8.02-inch foldable OLED inner display with up to 5,000 nits brightness, the Dimensity 9500 Super Edition chipset, and a triple rear camera setup: a 200-megapixel main camera, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera.
It will be Vivo's first foldable to support a telephoto extender attachment.
Availability and Pricing
The X Fold 6 will be available in 12GB+256GB, 12GB+512GB, 16GB+512GB, and 16GB+1TB configurations, with color options including Blue Cave, Salt Lake, Polar Night, and Black Gold Edition.

The device is expected to launch on June 26 in China, with a global debut likely in July.
