Oppo is reportedly developing a new book-style wide foldable smartphone, with a launch expected in the first quarter of 2027, according to tipster Digital Chat Station (DCS).
The device, which may be called the Oppo Find N7 or another name, is currently in the prototype testing stage.
Key Specifications and Design
The engineering prototype features a foldable inner display of around 7.6 inches and a cover screen of roughly 5.5 inches.
Both Samsung Display (SDC) and BOE are reportedly involved in supplying the panels.
The foldable is said to be powered by Qualcomm's next-generation 2nm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chipset.
DCS also hints that the device adopts a design approach similar to Apple's products and incorporates Oppo's latest crease-minimizing hinge technology, which could outperform competing solutions.
Oppo's wide foldable joins a growing trend, with Samsung expected to unveil the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide in July and Apple's foldable iPhone likely in September.
Honor, Xiaomi, and Vivo are also expected to introduce wide foldable phones next year.
