TEMPT has introduced a new portable fan called the ICY in India. The device combines standard fan blades with a built-in thermoelectric cooling plate.
It is priced at Rs. 1,990 ($21) and is available through the company's website and Amazon India.

Cooling plate technology
Unlike typical handheld fans that only circulate air, the ICY integrates a semiconductor cooling plate at the center of the fan head.
When the chiller mode is activated, the plate cools down to 18°C within seconds.
Users can press the cold surface directly against their skin to lower body temperature.
The technology is similar to that used in active cooling nodes on wearable neck fans.

Performance and battery life
Behind the cooling plate, a brushless motor spins the fan blades at over 14,000 RPM.
TEMPT states that the fan operates at under 20 decibels, making it suitable for quiet environments like offices, classrooms, or public transit.
The device is powered by a 4,000mAh lithium battery.
Runtime varies based on usage: up to 12 hours on the lowest fan setting alone, or up to 10 hours with the cooling plate activated at low fan speed.

Four speed settings are available, with battery drain times of roughly 12, 9, 6, or 3 hours depending on airflow.
Charging via USB-C takes about 90 minutes, and the fan can be plugged into a laptop, power bank, or wall adapter.
Design and features
The fan measures six inches in length and has a lightweight build with a matte finish. A single physical button controls power, speed cycling, and cooling plate activation.
Above the button, a small LED screen displays battery percentage, active speed setting, and cooling mode status.

The package includes a lanyard for hands-free carrying and a travel pouch. Buyers can choose from three colors: Elegant Beige, Bold Grey, and Serene White.
