Dangbei has launched the Air 1S, a new pair of clip-on wireless earbuds in China, combining an open-ear design with AI-powered translation features.
Priced at 1,299 yuan (around $190), the Air 1S will be available for purchase starting June 15 via JD.

Touchscreen case and AI translation
The charging case houses a 2.04-inch AMOLED touchscreen, which goes beyond basic media controls.
It displays real-time translated text during conversations, allowing the other person to read along. The screen also supports virtual pets and mini-games.

The earbuds support real-time translation for 36 languages and standard transcription for up to 190 languages. A four-microphone array handles voice pickup and noise cancellation.
Through a companion app, users can record calls, generate text summaries, and create meeting notes.
Design and audio
Each earbud weighs 6.3 grams and uses a 0.5mm titanium memory alloy wire for a secure yet comfortable grip.
The hardware features an antibacterial silver-ion coating.

Audio is driven by 12mm dynamic drivers with support for LHDC 5.0, SBC, and AAC codecs. Directional sound technology helps minimize audio leakage in public spaces.
Connectivity and battery
The earbuds offer Bluetooth 6.0, dual-device pairing, spatial audio with head tracking, and an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance.
Battery life is rated at 8 hours for the earbuds, extending to 42 hours with the charging case.
