Vivo has begun teasing the upcoming X Fold 6, positioning it as a productivity-focused foldable smartphone with advanced AI capabilities.
The device will run on OriginOS 6 Fold, a version of Vivo's custom OS optimized for large-screen multitasking.

Enhanced Atomic Workbench and Multitasking
According to Vivo, the X Fold 6 will feature a significantly upgraded Atomic Workbench, first introduced with the X Fold 5.
The new interface supports a "one screen, five uses" experience, allowing users to run multiple apps simultaneously with improved split-screen layouts.

Vivo has also hinted at a new Workbench mode that lets users create dedicated workspaces for activities like meetings, travel planning, or shopping.
These workspaces can combine several apps and be reopened with a single tap, reducing the need for constant app switching.
AI and System-Level Optimizations
The company confirmed upgrades to its AI assistant and on-device AI capabilities, along with improvements in task scheduling and chip resource management.

These optimizations aim to deliver smoother multitasking performance when running multiple apps and AI tools together.
The Vivo X Fold 6 is expected to debut in China by the end of June, with a global launch possibly following next month.

Rumored specs include the Dimensity 9500 chip, a 6,900mAh battery, and a triple camera setup with a 200-megapixel main sensor, 50-megapixel ultra-wide, and 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens.
