Skyworth has launched a new gaming monitor in China, the G27Q Pro, featuring a 27-inch 1440p display with a high refresh rate.

Pre-sales begin on June 8 at an introductory price of 1,099 yuan (approximately $162).

Display and Performance

The monitor uses a 2K (2560×1440) Fast IPS panel with a native refresh rate of 260Hz, overclockable to 275Hz.

It offers a 1ms gray-to-gray response time and 178-degree viewing angles.

Adaptive-Sync support ensures compatibility with both AMD FreeSync and Nvidia G-Sync to reduce screen tearing.

Skyworth's Motion Clarity Engine Pro and a 10-level adjustable overdrive setting help minimize motion blur.

Color Accuracy and Brightness

The G27Q Pro covers 97% of the DCI-P3 gamut, 100% sRGB, and 94% Adobe RGB.

Each unit is factory-calibrated to a Delta E of less than 1 for accurate colors out of the box.

It includes color profiles like Rec. 709 and BT.

2020, making it suitable for basic photo and video editing. Peak brightness reaches 570 nits, with a 1400:1 static contrast ratio and HDR400 certification.

Gaming and Daily Use Features

Built-in gaming features include presets for FPS, RPG, and MOBA titles, as well as crosshairs, shadow boosting, and sniper zoom modes.

A setting simulates a smaller 24.5-inch screen for a tighter field of view.

For daily use, an ambient light sensor automatically adjusts brightness and color temperature. Hardware-level low blue light reduction, an anti-glare matte coating, and DC dimming are also included.

Connectivity and Ergonomics

Port selection includes two DisplayPort 1.4 connections, two HDMI 2.0 ports, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The maximum 1440p at 275Hz requires a DisplayPort connection, as HDMI 2.0 bandwidth is limited.

The stand offers 130mm height adjustment, tilt, swivel, and 90-degree pivot for portrait orientation. The monitor weighs 4.9kg with the stand and supports 75x75mm VESA mounting.
