Huawei has quietly introduced the nova Y74 in international markets, targeting budget-conscious users with a focus on battery life and durability.
The device packs a 6,620mAh silicon-carbon battery, which Huawei claims can deliver up to 24.9 hours of online video playback or roughly 48 hours of talk time on a single charge.

Charging is supported via 40W wired charging, reaching about 53% in 30 minutes. A 15-minute top-up is said to provide around five hours of video playback.
The phone features a 6.67-inch LCD display with HD+ resolution, a 90Hz refresh rate, and up to 850 nits of peak brightness.
It also includes wet-touch support, allowing use in rainy conditions.

On the back, a 50MP main camera sits in a square camera island, while an 8MP front-facing camera handles selfies.
Other specifications include 8GB of RAM, up to 256GB of storage, NFC, Bluetooth 5.1, dual-SIM 4G support, and EMUI 12 out of the box.
Huawei's customizable X Button is also present.

The chipset has not been officially confirmed, but GSMArena suggests it could be a Kirin 8000-series processor, similar to the Huawei Enjoy 90 Plus.
Huawei emphasizes durability with an SGS 5-Star Drop Resistance certification, claiming the phone can survive drops from up to 1.8 meters.
Pricing has not been announced, but the nova Y74 is expected to fall in the budget category.
