Oppo has begun teasing its next smartwatch, the Watch S2, ahead of its official launch on September 22.
The device is positioned as slim, light, and focused on everyday health and fitness tracking.
It measures just 8.9 mm thick and weighs 34.4 g without the strap, nearly matching the previous model.
The Watch S2 will debut in China alongside the Find X10 series phones and is already available for pre-order in three colors: Vibrant Orange, Misty Powder, and Mountain Shadow Grey.
Like its predecessor, it retains a round dial.
FatMax Mode and Health Tracking Upgrades
A key new feature is the “FatMax” fat-burning mode, which calculates a personal fat-burning heart rate zone based on height, weight, age, gender, and activity level.
The zone is continuously refined with wear, and during workouts the watch displays real-time grams of fat burned.
Health tracking also sees a notable upgrade with sensors covering ECG, wrist temperature, blood oxygen, and heart rate.
Oppo claims the optical sensor is 75% better at handling interference, while exercise heart rate accuracy is listed at 98.8%.
This builds on the original Watch S by making data more reliable during movement.
On the practical side, the Watch S2 supports dual-device pairing for staying connected to two phones simultaneously.
Battery life is rated at up to 10 days maximum, around 7 days with normal use, and about 4 days with the always-on display enabled.
It also includes Watch Fluid Cloud, which can push live updates for food delivery, ride-hailing, and navigation.
For context, the original Oppo Watch S launched in China in October 2025 starting at 1,499 yuan before a global rollout earlier this year for around €259.
The S2 maintains the focus on being light and comfortable with multi-day battery life, while sharpening fitness tracking and sensor accuracy.
