Samsung has officially announced the Galaxy A18 4G, and the phone comes with a surprise in the chipset department.
Instead of the expected MediaTek Helio G99, Samsung has equipped the device with its own Exynos 1610 chip.
Benchmark listings from August had pointed to the Helio G99, which also powers the Galaxy A15, A16, and A17 4G.
However, Samsung opted for the Exynos 1610, though details about the chip remain scarce.
Specifications and Features
The Galaxy A18 4G features a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate.
It has a flat frame with rounded edges and a waterdrop notch.
The rear camera setup includes a 50MP main sensor, a 5MP ultrawide, and a 2MP macro, while the front houses a 13MP selfie camera.
A 5,000mAh battery supports 25W fast charging, reaching 50% in about 30 minutes.
The phone also offers Galaxy AI features like Circle to Search and Gemini integration for natural language tasks.
It carries an IP64 rating for dust and water splash resistance.
On the software side, it runs One UI 9.0 based on Android 17 and will receive six years of OS and security updates.
Price and Availability
The Galaxy A18 4G is available in Black, Gray, and Light Blue.
The base model with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage is priced at €280 in France, NOK 3,290 in Norway, and SEK 3,290 in Sweden.
Norway and Sweden also get a 256GB variant for NOK 5,190 and SEK 5,190, respectively.
