Xiaomi has launched the Redmi Note 17 Pro and Redmi Note 17 Pro Max in India, following their global debut last month.
Both phones sit in the upper mid-range segment and stand out mainly through battery size, chipset, and durability.
Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G: 10,000mAh Battery and Snapdragon 6 Gen 5
The Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G starts at ₹49,999 and packs a 10,000mAh battery, which Xiaomi says can deliver over four days of light usage.
It supports 100W wired charging with the charger included in the box, plus 27W wired reverse charging for accessories.
Powering the device is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 processor, paired with up to 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB UFS 4.1 storage.
Redmi Note 17 Pro 5G: 9,000mAh Battery and Snapdragon 6s Gen 4
The standard Redmi Note 17 Pro starts at ₹36,999 and comes with a 9,000mAh battery, 67W wired charging, and 22.5W reverse charging.
It runs on the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 chip and offers up to 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage.
Shared Display, Durability, and Camera Details
Both models feature a 6.83-inch 1.5K flat AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 3,500 nits peak brightness.
They carry IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings, and use Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 for the screen.
Xiaomi claims the phones are tested to withstand drops of up to three meters.
The Pro Max has a 50MP main sensor with OIS and f/1.5 aperture, an 8MP ultrawide lens, and a 32MP front camera.
The standard Pro uses a 50MP main sensor with f/1.8 aperture and a 16MP front camera.
Both phones run HyperOS 3 based on Android 16, with four years of OS updates and six years of security patches.
Availability and Pricing
The Redmi Note 17 Pro will be available starting September 17, while the Pro Max follows on September 23.
Both will be sold through Xiaomi’s website, Amazon India, and offline retail stores.
