Steve Burton has accused his ex-wife, Sheree Gustin, of playing games over custody of their daughter Brooklyn.
In court documents obtained by TMZ, the General Hospital star claims Gustin told Brooklyn that his new wife and stepdaughters are "not family."
Burton also alleges that Gustin deleted messages from the stepsisters.
According to the filing, Gustin has "told Brooklyn that Steve and his wife are 'brainwashing' her."
Burton claims this conduct has caused Brooklyn to whisper during calls and delete her own messages out of fear of her mother's reaction.
Divorce and Custody Dispute
Burton claims Gustin's "affair and pregnancy outside the marriage" was the cause of their divorce.
He says Gustin nevertheless continues to hold significant anger toward his new wife.
The legal battle has also involved relocation disputes.
Burton says Gustin told him she was moving to Tennessee shortly after he said he was moving back to California.
The soap star said he permanently relocated back to California after signing a three-year deal with General Hospital in June 2026, following a brief break from the show.
Burton is asking for an order prohibiting Gustin from interfering with his communication with Brooklyn.
He also wants Brooklyn to be allowed to use a cell phone while with her.
