President Trump got into a tense exchange with an ABC News reporter after being asked about the $40 trillion national debt.

The confrontation happened on the tarmac after Trump landed in Dallas, Texas, to attend Thursday night's Republican National Convention.

ABC's Rachel Scott asked Trump why he would offer each American a $5,000 check to incentivize voting in the midterms if his economic policies were working.

Scott's question suggested the president was simply buying votes.

Trump denied that he was incentivizing voters, saying he was only rewarding them after four years of bad economic policies during the Biden administration.

He said those policies bled into the first part of his second term.

Trump also criticized Biden's policies on crime and the border.

When Scott tried to ask a follow-up question, Trump repeatedly snapped at her, saying, "Not you!"

He leaned toward Scott with fury on his face, according to the clip.

The moment was caught on camera.
