Redmi has officially announced the India launch date for the Turbo 5. The smartphone will debut on June 16, as confirmed by a teaser page on Amazon India.
The promotional material calls it the fastest Redmi smartphone to date, highlighting performance as a key selling point.

It remains unclear if any other products will launch alongside the device.
Earlier teasers in May revealed the rear design, which matches the Chinese version.
The phone features a dual-camera setup with LED lighting integrated into the camera rings, available in black.

Expected Specifications
While Redmi has not disclosed the Indian variant's specs, it is expected to retain the hardware from China.
The Turbo 5 boasts a 6.59-inch OLED display with 1.5K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and 3,500 nits peak brightness.
It runs on HyperOS 3 based on Android 16 and is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8500-Ultra chipset.

The battery is a 7,560mAh unit with 100W wired charging and 27W reverse wired charging.
For cameras, it includes a 50MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 20MP front camera.
Other features include an in-screen fingerprint scanner, dual speakers, an X-axis linear motor, an IR blaster, a metal middle frame, and IP68/IP69 dust and water resistance.

There are reports that Redmi might also unveil the Redmi 17 at the same event, but the company has not confirmed this.
