Oppo is preparing to roll out ColorOS 17, its next major software update based on Android 17.
The software is currently in closed beta for select devices, with a stable release expected in the coming weeks.
The company has scheduled a launch event for September 17, where it will reveal the official timeline and features.
Ahead of that, here is what we know about eligible devices, release schedule, and key upgrades.
Expected Eligible Devices
Oppo has not yet published an official list of devices that will receive ColorOS 17. However, based on each device's update policy, a preliminary list has been compiled.
The list includes models from the Find N, Find X, Reno, F, K, and Pad series.
For example, the Find N6, Find N5, Find N3, and Find N2 series are expected to be eligible.
Find X series models such as the X9, X8, X7, and X6 series are also on the list.
The Reno series includes the Reno 16, 15, 14, 13, 12, and 11 families.
Other expected devices include the F33, F31, and F29 series, the K15, K14, and K13 series, and Pad models like the Pad 6, Pad 5, Pad 3, Pad Mini, and Pad SE.
Notably, no A-series phones are included because most do not have an official update policy. The list will be updated once Oppo makes an official announcement.
Release Timeline and Major Upgrades
Oppo has not announced a rollout schedule, but the launch is happening earlier than last year's ColorOS 16.
ColorOS 16 was announced in mid-October in China, while ColorOS 17 is set for September 17.
The rollout will likely begin in China first, possibly in early October, with a global release later that month.
