Sony has launched three new headphone models, now available on Amazon.
The lineup includes the WH-1000XM4C at $299.99, the WH-CH730N at $179.99, and the budget-friendly WH-CH530 at $69.99.
The WH-CH530 is positioned as an attractive entry-level option.
It offers 55 hours of battery life, multipoint connectivity, and a quick charge feature that provides 1.5 hours of playback from a three-minute charge.
This model also includes a swivel design, DSEE upscaling, and is made with recycled plastic. Available in multiple colors, with Coral and Mint as Amazon and Sony exclusives.
However, the WH-CH530 is an on-ear design without active noise cancellation (ANC). For those who prefer over-ear comfort or need ANC, Sony offers other options.
WH-CH730N: Mid-Range with ANC
The WH-CH730N brings several improvements over its predecessor, including 50 hours of battery life with ANC enabled, Dual Noise Sensor technology, and multipoint connectivity.
It also features a foldable frame and enhanced call handling.
Priced at $179.99, it comes in an Oat color exclusive to Amazon and Sony.
However, the older WH-CH720N, which launched at $149.99, is still available, making it a more budget-friendly alternative if you don't need the extra battery life or new colors.
WH-1000XM4C: A Familiar Flagship Returns
The WH-1000XM4C revives the popular 2020 XM4 design with the same swivel-fold mechanism, four-mic array, and QN1 noise-cancelling chip.
New additions include a 10-band equalizer and a Lavender color exclusive to Sony and Amazon.
Pre-orders are open, with delivery expected between September 23 and October 1.
Battery life is rated at 27 hours with ANC on and 34 hours with it off, slightly less than the original XM4.
At $299.99, it competes with the XM5, which may be a better buy if found at a similar price.
However, the XM4C's folding design is a key advantage for travelers who prefer a compact form factor.
