Vivo has officially announced that its next-generation X500 series will launch in China on September 21.

The confirmation came during Vivo's Creator Festival held in Yantai, China, where the company showcased its latest imaging innovations.

Camera Upgrades and New Sensor

The X500 Pro series will be the first to feature the new BluePrint LightGuard 900 sensor globally.

This sensor is likely based on the Sony LYT-910, announced earlier this year.

Combined with Vivo's ultra-high dynamic range technology, it can deliver up to 17EV of dynamic range.

The Pro series will support 4K recording at 240fps for slow-motion and 4K 120fps HDR video.

Vivo is also introducing VCS 4.0 technology to improve low-light image quality.

The main and periscope telephoto cameras will feature CIPA 7-level stabilization for better handheld shooting.

The standard Vivo X500 is expected to sport a 1/1.28-inch LYTIA-828 main sensor, a LYTIA-610 telephoto camera, and a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera.

The X500 Pro will also include the LYTIA-610 telephoto camera.

The X500 Pro Max is rumored to feature a 200-megapixel HP0 telephoto sensor, along with a 50-megapixel main and ultrawide camera.

Vivo is adding an AI photography assistant that analyzes scenes and recommends camera settings, compositions, and poses.

An album-based AI editing feature will apply customized color adjustments based on the scene.

The X500 series will support 10-bit 4:2:2 encoding and the ACES color system.

Pro models will offer 4K 120fps 10-bit Log video recording, with teased 8K native Live output and AI-assisted video features.
